How The Power of Unstoppable Technology Can Save The World [VIDEO]

Is the conflict between old and new power structures preprogrammed?

My favorite theme to think about is the yin-yang concept of darkness and light.  Crypto-anarchy is the tactic of using cryptography for counter-economics.

Breakthroughs in crypto tech, such as zero-knowledge proofs, have sparked a new era of challenge and upheaval.  These advances have paved the way for DarkFi

DarkFi is not a corporate startup.  The DarkFi manifesto describes it as “a democratic economic experiment, an operating system for society.”

Welcome to the agorist future, where counter-economics gives us tools to architect systems that empower free communities.

Rachel-Rose O’Leary is a writer and coder who is one of the lead developers behind DarkFi.  Rose is excellent at explaining lunarpunk and the dark side of the cycle.

By favoring transparency in its systems, is solarpunk tragically engineering its fate?  While solarpunks join DAOs, lunarpunks prepare for war.

After we first met in Miami at MoneroTopia, I was pleased to have the opportunity to sit down again with Rachel-Rose backstage at the Guns N’ Bitcoin event, where she spoke about “the coming storm” of DarkFi

“Anonymity in the online world is necessary for people to have differences of opinion and diversity, but also for people who are vulnerable to be protected,” Rose told me. “That is what encryption enables.”

In my discussion with O’Leary, we covered everything from “trusted setups” and dealing with state-level adversaries to the mystification of math.

Rose shared some unique insights about auditing and the peer-review process during our interview.  We also talked about zk-SNARKs, a virtual machine on Pirate Chain (ARRR), Amir Taaki’s story, and the next steps for DarkFi

Watch the whole interview for a special message at the end.

Privacy technologies are emerging more potent than ever and are completely unstoppable.

Rachel-Rose O’Leary gives some excellent recommendations for newbies in the video above.

I don’t usually endorse Proof-of-Stake projects, but my team is very bullish on DarkFi.

Let there be dark.
